What a Shower Asks For

Four things that decide the result.

    Layout

    Where the first tile lands decides everything after it — how the field meets the corners, where cuts fall, and whether the room reads as considered or improvised.

  2. 02

    Niches & Benches

    Recesses are set into the field so the pattern carries through them, with mitred edges and shelves pitched to shed water.

  3. 03

    Slope & Drainage

    A floor has to fall evenly to the drain without breaking the pattern or leaving a low spot behind.

  4. 04

    Transitions

    Walls to floor, tile to stone, wet to dry — every handoff gets a deliberate line rather than a filled gap.
